Communal living: that's not my Mom!
|
I have sort of an eclectic background. But I wouldn't change it for the world! I was born and raised in Canada to a Jewish father and Catholic mother who were practicing Zen Budhists at the time. Believe it or not, food was actually a large part of my identity because of the ethnic backgrounds which brought their cuisine into my life. I grew up eating a totally macrobiotic/ japanese diet (because of the Zen Buddhist influence) (which I loved and do to this day) with the exception of all the great Jewish/ Isreali cooking we got at the Jewish holidays and all the great Christmas and Easter/ Polish and Armenian cooking we got then! Actually, I think my heart for world missions has its roots here in all the different cultural foods I grew up with! Hey, the Lord will use anything He wants!
